Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American TV and film actress. A gifted thespian she is active in the professional world for the last 27 years. In 1990, she performed her debut on stage in a production of The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) off-Broadway. Then, in The Perfect Tribute, she made her debut in a TV show a year later. In 1992, she earned her first big break in the form of an extra character in the movie Basic Instinct. It was in The Firm however that she was cast as the woman leading the film for just the first time and that too opposite actors like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, her work was a collaboration with Hollywood's top stars such as Gwyneth in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes, and Julie Andrews Relative Values.
